Take a primary observation on the icon and decide how many parts it can be divided into; draw all parts with the Rounded Rectangle and determine the general brightness and darkness, color division and perspective relation. It will be a good start if you can do the overall outline well.
2. Produce glassy highlight
To highlight the glassy effect as soon as possible, now I am working on its displaying. See the glassy highlight as shown in the picture. It requires low technique.
parameters shown in the graphic.
3. Produce liquid part
Lock all glassy highlight layers and begin to produce the liquid part. It is a rather complicated part and you should be skilled in using Inner Glow and Inner Shadow. This icon is mostly highlighted by the liquid part.
4. Produce the lid part
The lid part is comparatively simpler, so I generally decompose the layer and gradient.
5. Final rendering
Finally, we come to the overall integration. Continue to add some highlight refraction in corners of the glass surface and bottom projection and mend light refraction. When they are completed, we will see the overall effect.
